before you attempt this you need to make sure you can remove the crank wheel 19mm bolt

1. jack car up and remove driver side front wheel and use a axle stand as you will need your jack to support the engine when the engine mount is remove.

2. remove those 2x10mm and remove the plastic air box so we have some room work.

3. remove 4x10mm and 2 cross screw.1 is metal and other is plastic then you can take the under trap out.

4. remove those 3x17mm and 19mm then take the engine mount out.

5. loosen those 4x10mm but dont take them out just yet.

6. loosen those 1,3,4 and remove 2 the plastic clip.now the alternator is free moving so now you can remove the belt and the 4x10mm bolt then take the water pump pulley off too.

7. remove 6x10mm.2x10mm on the top cover and 4x10mm on the side.

8. this is the 19mm bolt i mention in red.this bolt is hard to remove without good air impact gun.i use a 1/2 impact to remove it then take off the crank pulley.

9. remove the crank pulley and the timing cover.

10. take out all the spark plug so you can turn the engine by hand.use a 17mm on the cam wheel to turn the engine till you have all the timing mark line up.never turn backward,alway turn forward till the mark is Aline.

11. loosen the 1 bolt and do not take it out and loosen 2 bolt and dont take that out too.the tensioner will need about 12lb of force to pull it back but if you not that strong then use a long strong flat screw driver on the back of the tensioner where theres a small leaver and take belt off.when new belt gose on and under tension,dont tight those bolts up just yet.hand turn the cam wheel few times round so the belt sit in.once is in,give the tension side or the straight side of the belt the twist test and if it can twist more then half way round then its not tension up.
the twist test must be done right
.if its right then it wont twist more then half way round.once you check and it right then tighten number 2 bolt first then follow by number 1 bolt.

12. once the step 11 is done you are almost done the timing belt so go back to step 1 and tighten the all the bolts and put the timing cover back on.job is done

the belt only took about 9lb of force to snap it so i was lucky that i change it or it would have snap on me at high speed
