I don't think so mate, but I'm not sure what the outputs from the RCA Convertor are. If it has line outputs AND high-level outputs, then you would run the rear speaker signal directly into the RCA Convertor, then the high-level outputs to the unamplified rear speakers. However, I don't think it does, so you will have to opt for permenantly amplified rear speakers if you wish to also run a sub off the system.
Here's a basic schematic for a stereo setup where the stereo has no line outputs, and you want amplified rear speakers and a subwoofer...

But as I said, if you can get a sub amplifier or stereo amplifier with line outputs and high level inputs, then you won't need the RCA Convertor at all. Unfortunately you can't run the rear audio signal to the unamplified rear speakers, then onto the RCA Convertor as this will strain or overload the amp in your headunit, as-well-as reduce sound quality.
Also, speaker earth's should NOT be wired to the chassis to make their earth, as you will get distortion in the sound signal. The earth wire from the speaker must run back to the device supplying the live.
