I'd rather try and keep things free for members - that way you're more likely to get more entries ... plus the funds for each competition would vary depending on how many people entered - meaning the "prize" would either be under or over funded.

For that problem you could have a maximum number of people that could enter which would also be easier when it comes to voting therefore we wouldn't have to look through hundreds of pics lol

I agree. Since we don't have too many active members there might not be a clear winner if there is too many cars to vote for. Maybe having 4-5 cars per competition.

Picking names of who can enter the competition would be much easier. Since otherwise the competition would be first come first serve and some people won't ever get the chance to enter. Good thinking Chris

Since i tried to ressurect this area before i thought i better chip in.

It stopped because after a few competitions there were only a few members if any that wanted to do anything, because as pointed out we only have a limited range of very active members.

If you wanted 4-5 picked would you want to include all members or just active ones or what?

Active ones only, since there's no point in celebrating someone that won't even know about it.

Lolz ^.^

Since Soul wants to keep the competition free for members I think we'd have to sacrifice the prizes. Maybe our car could be shown on the homepage instead of a physical prize?

If not that then I think the competition would be pretty much pointless to do as no one would enter.

Yeah that sounds fair, plus someone might not actually have the money, and the homepage pic would probably be a good prize anyway lol, good idea! Smiley

Thanks Thanasie Smiley

I also think that having to give money (or an item) as a prize would make everything too complicated as it would all have to be done online since royal mail will probably steal anything you send. And the postage cost would rule out having a worthwhile prize. Therefore, a pic on the homepage is good enough Smiley

agreed on the active members part and strongly agree on no prizes( avoiding postage and losses ! ), anyone entering should do it for the fun of it not to gain anything but a nice pic of you and your car on the front page till another comp is won Wink

And why don't we have a test run ? make it or break it lol start a small comp and see how many people are really willing to participate in it either then tacking months to discuss  Tongue

P.S. Im IN !!!!!  Grin

I agree with the test run mind, as you say it will show the people that would really be interested in it and willing to enter/participate. Also things can get damaged in the post as well as lost/stolen!

Even though i haven't really done much to my car (just LED's everywhere!) that's all i would show, if i entered, not sure it would be enough, but it would be good for a test run as it would see if it was either a waste of time entering or waste of time voting for only small mods, if you get me?

Yeah and of course it should be about the fun and a pic lol!
